Stefania Calugi started selling fresh truffles in 1987, selecting the product from trusted truffle hunters who were identified by her father Renato. In the beginning customers were local Tuscan restaurants and shops.                         

Stefania inaugurated the first workshop in 1988/1989 in Castelfiorentino (FI), the municipality where the company is based and in which Stefania was born and lives. This was the beginning of the company, STEFANIA CALUGI. Truffles and mushrooms represent the core business of the company, but many other fruits of the earth are also offered.

STEFANIA CALUGI moved to the current plant in Via Cerbioni, Castelfiorentino (FI) in 1992, which is located in a zone in the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside called Val d’Elsa, positioned equidistant from Florence, Pisa, and Siena. The truffles come mainly from two of the most recognized areas in the world for truffles, Sanminiatesi Hills and Crete Senesi.

Since 2010 the company is led by Stefania Calugi and Jurij Marchetti. Together they began the consolidation in domestic markets and expansion abroad, together with an increase in the products offered by the company. STEFANIA CALUGI has continued to live and express the values of its founder - love for the roots of Tuscan tradition, passion for every project, continuous innovation, and a constant dedication to excellence and reliability.
